Strengthening of concrete beams with externally bonded carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) materials appears to be a feasible way of increasing the loadcarrying capacity and stiffness characteristics of exiting structures.CFRP Strengthening of concrete beams can fail when steel yield-concrete crushing and steel yield- CFRP tenside rupture. Here we obtain concepts of fracture mechanincs, the required CFRP cross-sectional area to achieve a targeted resisting moment of rehabilitated flexureal element. At the same time, parametric analyses are conducted to investigate the effects of CFRP on strength, rigidity and failure mechanisms of repaired of RC beams.parameters considered are concrete compressive strength, percentage of flexural reinforcement, bonded length, thickness and stiffness of CFRP laminate and soon.By investigating technics of strengthening of concrete beams and grasping of the quality,we can have conclusion that CFRP technology is believed to be very useful for expressway practicing engineering.
