Hypervelocity is a important direction of the torpedo's progressing. Supercavitation is a feasible way for the hypervelocity motion of torpedo. Study of the supercavitation is in the primary state in our country. And the area of experimental facilities concerning supercavitation is almost a blank. This is a big obstacle in the way of developing of supercavitation theory.Automatic control system for ventilating which has been used in the study of water tunnel supercavitating experiments has been designed in this paper. Under the thoroughly study of the nonlinear working properties of the flux regulator valve, models of each parts of ventilating control system has been set up. A fuzzy-controller of control system has been designed on the bases of fuzzy control theory. By the specials of system, A further improvement also has been made for the fuzzy-controller to suit for properties of system. The hardware of the whole control system was designed on the base of MCS-51 one-chip computer and including data collection, controlling, displaying, inputting, communication, etc. The software of system was developed by the MCS-51 assembly language and Visual C++. The bottom software and the user interface software has been developed to drive and control each parts of the hardware and communicate with users. The whole system can automatically control and measure the ventilating flux, and automatically deal, display and save data from experiment. By the prove of experiment, the system is reliable, stable and easy to use. It can fulfill the request of the experiment and resulted a good effect in the experiment.The flux of ventilating is one of the most important factors of the control of producing, developing and crumbling of supercavitation. So the developing of automatic ventilating control system has offer a reliable and powerful tool for the study of supercavitation.
