| Fuel pump and lube pump used in present aero-engine and space-engine are oriented to smaller volume, bigger flux and higher pressure. They differs much from the traditional hydraulic element both in mechanics and in principle. The fresh thought and cute method used in these pumps make them work better and contribute more to the operation of the fule system. Thus, it is of much indispensability to find out the new ideas and exclusive mechanics.Structure and performance of a screw centrifugal pump used in aero-engine was discussed in this paper. And the calculation method of the pump's performance was also given out.The paper begins with the discussion of the operating principle and function of the screw inducer, special element of the pump, and then gives the definition and relationship of the parameters and the curve function of the inducer as well, which is of great importance to data analyzing and pump-manufacturing. By presenting the simplified flow model, the flow and velocity triangles were analyzed.In the paper, the author excavated the performance, calculated the velocity-pressure and flow loss of the worm shell, the outlet element of the pump.According to the common method of the performance calculation of centrifugal pump, the author calculated the head and power of the pump, showed the way to get the pressure of the outlet. And the author also indicated the impact of the structure parameters and thus guided the design of the pump.The results show that the screw centrifugal pump is a type of well-working pump with good performance. It has higher head and efficiency with better ability of anti-erosion. Both the parameters and the working condition can affect the pump's operation and performance directly. It is a useful way to change these parameters to meet the need of the engineering. |
