| Hose assemblies are intensively applied in machinery including the construction machinery. According to the faulty statistic of the local machinery, 60% of the faultiness are caused by the hydraulic system failure, such as misacting, leakage, etc. The reliability and the level of machinery made in China are limited by these failures seriously. Also 60% of these failures are caused by hose assemblies failures. The analysis of some company's hose failures indicates that 70% of the failures are caused by leakage between the hose and the fitting. In order to solve the hose fitting leakage problems of the hose assemblies, the experimentation has been carried out and the conclusion is that the fitting's intension is not strong enough to prevent leakage. Plasticity theory is utilized to analyze the relationship of the working pressure of the hose, the connector material and the geometric dimensions. The calculation about crimp power of the hose assemblies is found, and the suggestions for assembly are given according to plasticity principle, also the program for analysis of fitting's intension is developed with AutoLisp which runs in AutoCAD. |
