| The deficiency of durability appears in lots of existed RC (reinforced concrete) structures. It causes many aging problems and has an ill effect on people's productivity and life. It also brings people big loss of money. So more and more scholars and engineering technical staff pay close attention to the problem. Structure durability is a matter of systems engineering that involves many factors. These factors relate intricately and interact complexly. Today how to make an assessment of durability and give a service life prediction have become two urgent tasks in the research of RC structure durability. Based on the predecessors' research, some problems of the structure durability are studied in this paper and the actual work done is as follows:A description of the background, significance, content, and methods of RC structure durability studies is presented in this paper. The research progress of RC structure durability in the recent 10 years is summed up. The status quo of durability research of RC structures is presented in three levels of material, element and structure. Depended on gray systems theory, an assessment method of RC structure durability is summed up. Based on the multilayer analysis, the method establishes a model of multilayer synthetic assessment of RC structure durability and makes a synthetic assessment of RC structure durability according to the criterion of gray relevancy. Furthermore the author set up a new assessment method of RC structure durability applying fuzzy theory. Based on the multilayer analysis, the method builds functions that describe the subjection degree of all factors to all grades of durability. Then the method take the weight of all factors into account and apply the most subjection criterion to get the grade of durability of structures. On the studies of service life prediction, RC structural members in atmospheric environments and marine environments are discussed according to the existed service life prediction theory and different end criterion of service life. |
