Stretch bending is an important plastic bend process and is widely applied to forming the workpieces of aircraft and car. Springback is one of the important factors that influence the forming quality of blanks. Many parameters influence the springback. With the development of numerical simulation technology of plastic forming, it is widely applied to analyze the process parameters that influence the forming quality. Using numerical simulation technology, many researches investigate the plastic forming processes. But rotary stretch bending is little studied.By using finite element simulation method and plastic distortion theory, the author analyzes the principle of the stretch bending forming and builds finite element model of rotary stretch bending. By analyzing the simulation results, how the hardening parameter, bend radius parameter and thickness parameter influence springback is studied. At last, the author analyzes and studies numerical simulation of stretch bending forming with lateral compression.
