In this dissertation the dynamic behaviors of cylindrical gear system have been systematically studied. Based on the basic system info of gear system dynamics, and the workflow reference model provided by WfMC, a software platform that can be used for the dynamic behavior analysis of gear systems has been researched and developed. The research works are listed as follow:A workflow management system that can be run in the .NET framework has been designed and developed. The system includes the workflow engine, the analysis workbench and the process definition tool.Based on the typical works of gear system dynamic behavior analysis, a set of executors that can be run in the workflow management system have been designed and developed.Taking the gear system in the TJ* * engine as prototype, the coupling effects of the gear system dynamics and the gear structural dynamics on the analysis of the gear system is taking into account.A torsional-lateral coupling dynamic model with every part separated is proposed to predict the dynamic behaviors of encased differential gear train. The model takes the gear system in the WJ* aeroengine as prototype. The dynamic characteristics of the model have been analyzed in detail, and the system dynamics results can be used for the structural dynamics analysis of every part. The software platform developed in this dissertation combines the analysis of gear system dynamics and the analysis of gear structural dynamics together. The simulations of the platform prove that it can be fit for the analysis tasks.
