Phenomena, such as flow field confusion and slagging etc. have occurred in the practical process of cyclone burner for coal-water slurry (CWS) firing, on this basis a study on aerodynamic field of CWS cyclone burners had been carried out through cold state experiments in the laboratory, then the influence of burner's structure properties upon the said flow field had been carried out, and expected to find more reasonable structure of the burner was found .In my study the focus is on the affection of cone and cyclone intensity in the condition of infinite and finite fields.In addition, in the experiments I simulated the affection of CWS jet flow to the combustor's aerodynamic field. From the results, we can get the affection of the location of air gun to the aerodynamic field. In comparison with the aerodynamic field without air gun, we can get the affection of central CWS jet flow.In Suzhou, we did the hot experiment of a kind of new cyclone burner and results were fine. The slagging is light; the combustion efficiency is high. The inspection of Suzhou Environmental Protection Department also proved that CWS is a clean energy. Through the experiments we can safely get the conclusion that the cyclone burner cannot only insure the complete combustion of CWS, but also can reach the need of environmental protection.In comparison with the cold experiment (including in the infinite field and finite filed), numerical simulations were done using k- e standard model. The experimental results can accord with the numerical simulation results reasonably.
