In this paper, the research concerning the calculation of power net's line-loss based on the technology of database is processed. In order to conform the trend of graphics in the software of electric power system, based on the analysis of advantage and shortcoming of extant software of power system's calculation, a new graphics platform is designed. Using the WAN resource and the database of the key point meters provided with Jiangsu electric power company, a management software is developed .It is based on the Web database for the calculation of power system's line-loss.First, the advantage and disadvantage of some computational method of line-loss is discussed, and the application extension is found. Then in the guide of "The guide of calculating electric power net" , the arithmetic for the computation of line-lose is researched, a code based on the Newton method and PQ decomposition method is developed.Using the database system of key point meters, the method of equivalent power is amended and used for the fast computation of transmit electricity line-loss. The design method of system structure and every compositive section is introduced.The graphics edit platform is developed, including edit software of transformer substation's diagram and diagram for calculating line-loss, then the method of coding is introduced, especially the transition from diagram to matrix of conductance and susceptance. The realization of Web data interface of every module is introduced.
