The intermediate pressure exhaust gas boiler in the shop of Yantzi petrochemical oil refinery works is needed to recycle the exhaust heat from the dust. The original design was intermediate vapor 42t/h, but the actual output is 30-35t/h, at the same time the temperature and pressure of the vapor are unstable, it affects the economic efficiency, the reason were the collecting dust on the heat area and serious corrision, they led to the decrease of the boiler load, and need stop to washing the dust, The article deals with the reform of the exhaust gas boiler, at the basic of the design condition, after thermo calculation, flute gas, resistence calculationand strenth calculation, the structure of the heat surface had been rearranged, then the proof calculation was done. The equipment has been put into operation after installation, the actual operation shows the newly designed exhaust boiler reached the design load,s table operation. The economic efficiency increased apparently. The total investment was 5 million Yuan, The comeback time of invest only 6 months.
