Logging Tool Development And Research

The measurements of the well depth and indicator diagram are the most regular techniques in well logging technology. And for the traditional instruments, there are several disadvantages such as big volume, low precision which couldn't meet the need of well logging, This thesis work mainly describes the portable instrument with multi-function and high intelligence.In our system, the traditional instruments of well depth measuring and indicator diagram are combined into one. In the side of hardware, the embedded system with the core of 80C196 is designed. What's more, the system includes keyboard input and Liquid Crystal Display. In the side of software, there are some modules such as the measurements of the well depth and indicator diagram, inquisition, data computing, signal adjusting, serial port communication and graphic printing. In this thesis the researches on signal filtering are nicely done in both hardware and software.The research work in this thesis is described as follows:1. Some researches are made on the principle of well logging technology , measuring methods and the theory of signal filtering usually used on well logging technology.2. According to the well logging requirement, the embedded system with 80C196, interface circuit ,and the circuit of signal adjusting on the well depth and indicator diagram are designed.3. A software system with strong function and convenient operation is designed based on careful locale checking and the operation of well logging.In a word, the testing result nicely proves the stability design in both software and hardware.
