Urban-type Residential External Environmental Studies

With analyzing housing form in traditional residence, the author puts forward that the relationship of both dwellers and environments is expressed on man' s behavior, which originates from physical and physiological requirements.After discussing the requirements of dwellers in residential cluster, a suitable scale of residence is established. And the author puts forward also that the space of residence correspond to varieties of man' s requirements with layers of living territory.Besides, the author researches the methodology of space enclosing in housing and the creation of various living territory with both foundational elements of street and yard. At the end, the author points out that the design principle of residential cluster and its image must be followed in making of living territory which stimulates aspiration to ore ate space for participation, activity, and rest.
