This dissertation is the result of the research and development of a speed-sonserless field-oriented controller (FOC) system of induction motor. The dominant challenge of this research was the control methods of induction motor and the estimation methods of both rotor speed and flux. In chapter one, research for sensorless control of induction motors in recent years had been introduced; the structure of this experiment system had also been explained. The development of speed-sonserless field-oriented controller method is based on with-speed-senor field-oriented controller method, except the method of obtaining the IM rotor speed. So in chapter two with-speed-senor field-oriented control system was introduced in details, include both the MATLAB simulation system and the real system based on TMS320F240DSP.The focus of this dissertation is in chapter three- application of EKF estimator in speed-sonserless vector control system of IM. As for speed-sensorless FOC system, the convergence and precision of both rotor speed and flux estimation with EKF depend on the accuracy of the models of system noise and measurement noise, i.e. Q and R. Genetic algorithm (GA) is applied in this paper to optimize parameters of the extended Kalman filer (EKF) filter in a speed-sonserless field-oriented controller (FOC) system. A GA training simulation system of optimum parameters of EKF is given and the simulation results show the efficiency and rationality of the algorithm. The configuration and components selection of variable-frequency converter circuit of IM was introduced in chapter four. While the characteristic of the control chip TMS320F240DSP, the sensors for stator current and rotor speed detecting and the corresponding data interface processing were also presented.Chapter five include the content of the software flow chart of with-sensor vector-controlled induction motor driver system, the characteristic of data processing, and a novel debug method with modularization and incremental system build method. At the end of this dissertation, conclusion was made for my research work that finished during my master's study. I also put forward some suggestions for the next work.
