Fullness Overflow Dam Pier Crack Analysis And Reinforcement Measures

In this paper, according to the historical information of constructing the FengMan dam as well as its geographical location and natural climate condition, various factors led to cracks of gate frusta are expatiated in detail. Primary factor of producing cracks is temperature stress. By adopting the FEM program of temperature stress field of three dimensions, the cause of cracks'creation was studied numerically. Under the situations of different time and water's locations, the distributions of the stress and displacement of various places are presented. The scientific and rational project of reinforcement of the gate frusta is constituted according as the results of calculation. The various measures of reinforcement are analyzed and calculated in detail. The analyzed effect of reinforcement shows that the measures of reinforcement deeply decrease the dangerous degrees, which were created by the cracks, and ensure the secure function of the FengMan dam.
