This paper narrates the necessity and the importance of low-voltage and low-power analog 1C design, introduces the state of the research of current conveyors and their applications. In this paper a new low-voltage low-power CMOS current conveyor with double outputs is proposed based on the deep analysis of various current conveyors implementation circuits. While it works with supply voltages down to 1. 5V, the standby current is lower than 80n A together with the static power consumption lower than 240u W as well as the dynamic range of output voltages and currents is very wide. The SPICE simulation confirms the attractive properties of the proposed circuits. The simulative circuits of active network elements, analog signal operation and inductors based on current conveyors are systematically researched. A new active floating inductor is proposed. At last, two methods to design current mode active filters are presented. The SPICE simulation of the filters designed with the two methods confirms the two methodsare correct and effective.
