| The rapid development of our domestic economy and external trade promoted the hydraulic transportation and port construction. Also the improvement in port capacity will accelerate the economical development. Therefore, the research in port, channel and port construction conditions has never ended. With predominate natural conditions, the port construction in NingBo---. ZhouShan Waters has boomed. Now, along the NingBo mainland and the southern side of ZhouShan Island, there is no areas left unexplored. So it is necessary to look for new harbor region. Maao Town, locates in the northern ZhouShan Island, is the research area in this article. Through the analyses of all kinds of conditions that may influence the port construction, whether the Maao抯 conditions fit for harbor construction or not was evaluated overall. In this article, when analyzing the natural conditions in the Maao Harbor district, the author placed his emphases on the wave conditions research. With 25 years of weather data and by means of Putian Method, the wave parameters in the Maao Harbor district is figured out and listed as the following: NNW: incidence: 2% H1%: 3.49m wave period: 5.58s ENE: incidence: 2% H1%: 2. 58m wave period: 4.60s In addition, the article adopted fuzzy comprehensive judgement method to present a comprehensive and quantitative method in assessing the conditions for harbor construction in Maao district. These conditions comprise natural conditions, economic conditions, technological conditions, city, port, and region conditions, environmental protection, and the other conditions, six kinds of factors in total. From the result it can be inferred that Maao is suitable for port construction. |
