External Space Form Of Commercial Pedestrian Street And Environmental Shaping

The paper discuses Commercial Pedestrian Street, which can also be called Open Mall, or Pedestrian Mall. Pedestrian Street provides a proper site for predestinating and trading, which are two prime life styles. The characteristics of the space in it has a wide sense in economic, and in society. It is an area not only for commercial exchanges, but for social intercourses as well. In these days, the designs for commercial pedestrian streets pay more and more attention to the real needs of people. A Humanisms theory is carried out in the whole designs. On the other hand, the renovations of those historic commercial pedestrian streets show special significance in preserving the context of cities and exploiting of resources in tourism. The environment and configuration of the exterior space of Commercial Pedestrian Street may be influenced by many elements, such as size, scale of the street, and interfacial configuration and rhythm of the architectures along the street. And also, they are influenced by noise, light, heat, and so on. In the last part of the paper, according to the analyses and points raised above, there is a summarization of the principles about designing and renewing of Commercial Pedestrian Street. Then, face to the future, the paper analyzes the orientation of the development of Commercial Pedestrian Street, and draws forth some points, such as, 搊rganic renewal? and 搖sers participating in the designing progress?and so on.
