No Impact To Accelerate The Massive Flyer

This paper analyzed the process of shockless acceleration of a plateby using the Fast Shock Tube With Barrel (FSTB) and analyzed theresults of the experiments, which was done in the Institute of SouthwestFluid Physics in July l999.The calculation results showed that it wasimpossible to accelerate a plate to 6kIn/s by using the Fast Shock TubeWith Barrel under this experiment conditions. Furthermore the length ofthe vacuum, which can make the flying plate to get the highest velocity,and the place where the shock wave will occur were anaIyzed in thispaper and verified that the experiments were under the conditions ofshockless acceleration.
