| ABSTRACTThis paper is one part of the project xial thrust investigation of single-stage single-suction centrifugal pump? which is supported by Natural Science Foundation of Gansu Province.The centrifugal pump has been widely used in many fields because of its simple construction and convenient operation. However, according to materials, the troubles of centrifugal pump are mostly concerned with axial thrust, so it is extremely necessary to investigate into axial thrust of centrifugal pump.A single-stage single-suction centrifugal pump of type 3BA-6 was used as test pump, and the effects of back blades on axial thrust have been investigated by means of back blades on back impeller shrouds. Based on investigation, the following results are obtained:(l)There are great differences between the theoretical computation results and the experimental measure results.(2)The variation laws of axial thrust with clearance which is the distance between back blades?extremity side and volute surface are obtained.(3)The variation laws of axial thrust with flow rate are found.(4)The variation laws of axial thrust with different clearance of front wearing ring arc obtained.(5) The viewpoint that the clearance which is the distance between back blades?extremity side and volute surface may not be controlled strictly is proposed. |
