After reviewing the present situation of the mathematical model and computer simulation of the working process and performance measurement system of reciprocating compressors , the important significance of studying these fields is expatiated. The chief aim of this paper is to establish the mathematical model of the working process of reciprocating compressors and to design its microcomputer-based data acquisition system. First, the paper makes good use of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics and heat transfer etc., and thinks about some factors carefully such as cylinder heat exchange, gas leakage from piston rings and gas flow backwards from gas valves, and makes some reasonable simplicities and assumptions. So, it establishes the mathematical model of the working process of reciprocating compressors and gives its simulation method. The model presented in this paper is of some value for the study of reciprocating compressors. According to the problems manifested in the running of traditional compressors performance measurement system, microcomputer-based data acquisition system of indicating map is mainly studied and improved. Based on knowing about the composition and principle of the performance measurement system carefully, the author makes use of measurement technology and computer technology, and thinks about the working features of reciprocating compressors, the microcomputer-based data acquisition system is designed. In the meantime the reliability of the data acquisition system is also considered, and some measures are taken in order to strengthen the capability of resisting the disturbance of it. Besides, with the windows standard DLL along with the PCL-812PG multi-lab card and visual basic programmable language, the author designs a set of visualized operating software in order to make the data acquisition system work properly. The author makes the system hardware and software working coordinately, and this system has the following functions: I/O equipment installation and selection, I/O equipment channels and its corresponding parameters setting, real-time acquisition state monitoring, single/auto acquisition and real-time graph displaying etc.. The experimental result is satisfied.
