The repair and strengthening of concrete structure has become an important engineering domain. The enlarging section method (the reinforcement and strengthening technique of integral type of young on old concrete) is widely applied in the repair and strengthening of concrete structure. Therefore, the research of adherence of young and old concrete has profound significance. This paper studied the mechanics performance of adherence of young and old concrete. The main results are summarized as follows:1 Three main factors affecting the adhesion performance are selected to make analyze variance, which are interfacial treating method, the variety of new concrete and adhesion agent. By adhesive bending tensile strength as index mark to analyze variance, the degrees of effect of each factor are gotten.2 In this paper experimental data are regressed with exponential distribution, furthmore, a formula of uniaxial compressive strength of concrete to calculate the anti-shear capacity of concrete inside interface is proposed, following this formula the zones and steel strap required to be reinforced is recommended d By comparison the formula is more safe and rational than other methods3 A test on split strength of adhesion members at old age. A rule of splitstrength varying with age is drawn from test result.
