Three-tier Information Systems Theories And Techniques In The Planning And Management Information Systems

City Planning Management Information System(CPMIS) is a compactintegration of MIS and GIS, not only because of the data which CPMIS deals withcontains both literal data and graphics data, but also there is close relation between theboth data. Under the conventional C/S (two-tier framework) condition, there are manyproblems, such as: weakly reusage,congestion in multi-user environment,maintenance problem following with "fat" client programs and so on.In order to solve this problems, this thesis studies emphatically informationsystem of three-tier framework,the theory and mechanism of application module withthree-tier framework based on Microsoft MTS technology, component programmingtheory and realization technology based on Delphi MIDAS, and raise a point ofmethod realizing three-tier framework application on MTS plus MIDAS.Base on the study of theory and technology, exploit a set of CPMIS, and conunitto tryout on respect depanment.
