| With the first high resolution spaceborne Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) beingdeveloped in China, this paper focuses mainly on the reliability design of theMonitor and Control Computer (MCC). In the beginning of this paper, we explainthe basic principle of SAR and phased array antenna. Then, in Chapter 3, we discussthe effects of radiation on semiconductor material and integrated circuits in detail.Also we provide several hardening methods from device level to system range. Afterthis, in Chapter 4, we come into the core content of the thesis. On the basis ofpresentaion of basic concept of reliability and description of the working flow ofMCC, we divide MCC into 6 modules, and constitute the reliability model for MCC.According to the computaion result, we find tha a system backuped in module ismore reliab1e than that backuped in system, and moreover, cold redundancy is morereliable than working redundancy. We also have a discussion on the software design,for software's reliability is almost as same important as that of the hardware. Last, inChapter 5, we provide the theory and implementation method of error detection andcorrection circuit. We Present a simple EDAC scheme and two modified versions,and verify them with MAX+PLUSâ…¡EDA tool.High reliability is deadly requird in the designing of products used in spaceenvironment. When we design MCC of spaceborne SAR, we employ certaintechniques to provide increased reliability and stability such as the following,inactive double redundant reserve technique, differential line driver used in 1ong linetransmission, radiation hardened devices been selected, the software of MCC with acapacity of false toleration, and designing of electromagnetism compatibility.Spaceborne SAR is an integer system of many electronic equipment. Thefuncition of units and modules should been simplified. The cable between modulesshould be the least. The weigh should be the lightest. The cubage should be thesmallest. And the power dissipation should be the lowest. In order to avoid weaknesspoints, we should forecast, calculate, and distribute the reliability at the same timeWhen designing functions of the system. All these should be done to ensure thesystem running reliably within two years. |
