| Along with the greatly improving of the accelerated process of urbanization, social development and the quality of people's life, modern kinds of transports were highly developed. But these could be reasons of the serious traffic and safety issues whose situation is worse and worse. Furthermore, it can cause rapid changes in large-scale on traditional city streets. Meanwhile, The concentration of regionalization in urban area turns it from a singularity-function road into a feature-rich comprehensive urban road. This doesn't only make deep influence on the society but also affect the layout and structure of modern urban road's landscape. And it changes people's traditional way of life, too. However, firstly, the relevant specialization of the construction over the urban road landscape is short of cooperation due to the current construction system. Secondly, macro decision-making and Methodical design are totally exile. Last but not the least, the projects only for the government's purpose is serious. These bad results tell us that each landscape-factor walks alone and it's difficult to keep balance between sociality, practicality and artistry. There is also something that such as the lack of an overall consideration of landscape elements and "human nature" concern. In this paper, the methods of urban road landscape design is preliminarily explored by means of theoretical analysis and spot investigation under the contemporary urban development.Taking Luo Yu Road of Wuhan City for example, this paper can be divided into four parts:The first part comes up with design ideas on image based on urban road landscape. It covers several theories involved with urban road landscape design and imagery, which provides theoretical basis for the study.In the second part, the author makes a comparative analysis on the cases of road landscape between the ancient and modern ones, domestic and foreign ones. The reason for the evolution of the landscape in each period is concluded, and so is the variation of the image. The trend of future urban road landscape is also discussed on this part.In the third part, the paper analyzes the development process of Luo Yu Road. It states the advantages and disadvantages of the road. And after research on different aspects, it makes a conclusion on the image factors and valid law of urban road landscape. The author provides a reference for the ranking problem in image creating.In chapter five and six of Part four, the author makes a conclusion for the paper. Considering the reality, combined with the conclusions in the former part of this article, the author states a road landscape image proposal for Luo Yu Road. And finally, the paper describes a modern designing pattern and a prospect of the future Luo Yu Road.By this research on the variation and condition of Luo Yu Road, the author aims to provide some reference for other urban road landscape designing activities. This is also an exploration in the research pattern on the designing of urban road landscape. |
