With the development of modern architectural design, large space buildings new-built is not only in large scale and also modeling complex. It becomes difficult to meet all the requirements, when designing air conditioning only relies on the experience. Therefore, computer simulation is needed to predict building load, air distribution, temperature field, comfort index, etc. For the purpose, according to the characteristic of large and complex pace of museum, this paper selected two air conditioning systems: radiant floor combined with outdoor air system and stratified air conditioning system. First, we designed calculation for two systems. Then with the aid of Fluent software, thermal comfort and air distribution of the two systems in both summer and winter were simulated. And the research results were analyzed and compared between two systems, expecting it will be available for the actual engineering design.Firstly, the numerical model of large and complex space of museum was setup, and the mathematic method of CFD was detail explained. Then, based on the design calculation of radiant floor combined with outdoor air system and stratified air conditioning system, the two systems were simulated and evaluated.When radiant floor combined with outdoor air system applied to the complex and large space, it has significant energy savings at winter condition. Radiant floor, only providing 30% of indoor calculated heat load, can meet the requirement of indoor designed conditions. And there is good thermal comfort, only 5% people are not satisfied. When the system operating in summer condition, it can also meet the comfort requirement, and he floor has not condensation.When stratified air conditioning system applied to the complex and large space, it has significant energy savings at summer condition. There was about 30% energy savings. This paper also analyzed and compared the indoor thermal conditions with air supply at different declination angles at winter conditions. The result shows that under the relative position between air supply invent and air return outlet, and under the speed conditions, the air distribution becomes the best when the declination angles 30o. Results of this paper can provide a reference for the air conditioning system selection, air distribution prediction and thermal comfort prediction.
