In the 21st century, with the frequent occurrence of earthquakes in the world, seismic design of structure has become the social focus. In recent years, the steady development of numerical methods and finite element soft wares provide good conditions for simulating ground motion and seismic design of structure. In the seismic design, to simulate the earthquake motion which meets the requirements for seismic standard and to analyze seismic behavior has been a primary problem.Firstly, Lagrange interpolation theory was applied to improve the iterative format in the simulation process of seismic wave. By using the smooth stochastic model and trigonometric series method, to take the Earthquake of 8 degree for an example, in which the third generated site kind, the first group of design, 20 seconds of earthquake ground motion, and 0.02 seconds time interval were investigated. The corresponding programs were compiled, and the history curve of earthquake acceleration was obtained. Secondly, MSC.MARC software's redevelopment function was analyzed. There are two examples of the small high-rise structure and the transmission tower structure. Both were imposed on small shocks and great shocks of 8 degree earthquakes and EI waves, respectively. Based on the spectrum method and time history method, the seismic analysis was performed. The results show that earthquake motion based on Lagrange interpolation iterative format is closer to standard response spectrum value in control points and more stable, meeting Chinese Seismic Standard. As for the small high-rise structure, the damping influences the results greatly, namely, the maximum equivalent stress appears on the bottom of structure, the maximum displacement between structure layer is less than the specified value, and displacement response spectrum value is slightly higher than the time history analysis value, which means the problem may result from the selection of seismic wave, taken as one of puzzles of the seismic analysis. For transmission tower, under three kinds of seismic waves, the corresponding maximum values of equivalent stress are lower than tensile strength, and its displacement response spectrum value is slightly bigger than the value of the time history analysis, which is consistent with the theoretical results.
