With the rapid progress of infrared technologies, infrared image guidance has became one of the important aspects of high accuracy guidance technology. This paper is originated from a pre-research task on a infrared image tracker system which forms high quality infrared imaging and tracks and recognizes initiative launched high speed missile.The core processor of the infrared image tracker are the TigerSHARC DSP 201 and the Field Programmable Gate Array(XC4VLX40), and the hardware platform constituted by the processor ADV7179 and the dual-ported memory (CY7C1061AV33-10V) etc. Based on research of infrared image tracker, this thesis deeply studied some key technologies aimed at image tracking module and infrared imaging module. The main research problems in thesis are as below:Design and implementation of infrared imaging based on DSP and FPGA: Based on two-temperature points method of non-uniformity correction, collecting two-temperature points of image parameters under different environmental temperatures. Combining DSP and FPGA to implement those algorithm which takes advantages of both parts. This thesis also uses a histogram equalization method to enhance infrared image, and implemented in DSP.Restraining the missile smoke: This thesis uses a method to restrain the missile smoke by controlling the integral-time of infrared detector. This method is simple but very effective. The setting of the integral-time is based on experiment .Image partition algorithm based on gray-level and the connected component analyze: This thesis adopted a image partition algorithm based on Otsu threshold . And analyze the connected component of the image , then mark all the possible targets for the next step analyzing. Realized in DSP.Kinetic trait analyze of both true and false targets: Based on the transcendental information of the both true target and false target to analyze the kinetic trait, and track the true target exactly. After emulating ,the algorithm is realized in DSP.
