Study On The National Of Vocational Qualification Of The Taxi Driver

The taxi, which has been integrated into the comprehensive city transportation system, is a kind of door-to-door transportation service catering for those who have the affordability as well as individualized transportation needs. Following the 11th National Congress of the Communist Party in March 2008, the NPC issued the "Reform of State Council Organs Plan" which clarified the role of Ministry of Transportation as "providing guidance for the city public transportation." The governance of the taxi industry and management of the taxi drivers is one of the responsibilities. With the angle of Management and Organizational Behavioral Science, the author studies the National of Vocational Qualification of the Taxi Driver, on the basic of the investigation on the actuality of the supervision of the taxi driver both domestic and overseas.The paper first study the characteristic of the taxi operation and the taxi driver, as well as the difficulty on supervision. Wishing it can leads to the importance of the National of Vocational Qualification. Then the paper deduces the National Vocational Qualification of the Taxi Driver is both an effective and important measure to improve the quality level of taxi service and strengthen the recruitment and retain of qualified taxi drivers on the basic of the study of the National of Vocational Qualification. At last, having taken Chinese situation of the current taxi industry and the characteristics of taxi drivers into considerations, the author has made suggestions on the National Vocational Qualification of the Taxi Drivers. Suggestions are also based on relevant experiences in western developed countries. The thesis hopes serve the vocational qualification system and industrial management services.
