Chuzhou The Central Area Of ​​abandoned Railway Area Landscape Planning And Design Study

This thesis mainly focuses on the research of how to make use of the currently-disused areas--- specifically the abandoned railway areas near the downtown of Chuzhou city, aiming at proposing a landscape plan and design for area.Based on theories of the modern landscape design and some successful cases, the author has investigated the disused railway area and studied its location and its spatial relation with neighboring environments. the author proposes a new model of the development of the area, which will integrate business, culture, travel and entertainments together and combine the scenic functions with the spirits of humanities.The thesis shows that the landscape plan and design of the disused railway area may follow the following principles: adaptive design, the disused area landscape elements protection and reuse and the landscape topic development. in order that we could find a way to solve some problems in the process of development of Chuzhou city and environments.
