Substation Automation System-related Issues And Applications

Substation automation system is a real-time monitoring system, which monitoring and running equipment of Substation, Its main technology is computer and communication technology. It controls and managements all of the equipment of Substation ,and which is a collection of relay protection, measurement, control, remote communication technology. The main content of this thesis is to design and research 35KV substation integrated automation system in Xinglongzhuang plant.The electric devices of plant often trip without faults, can't find with fault and can't power on in a moment.The power supply system and electrical equipment fault cause part power failure and could be found. The traditional relay protection behind the times with the early warning and protection.There are power failure with the voltage fluctuation, unreliable leakage protection, the warning of insulation depression.The thesis described the development of integrated substation automation, introduced the development history and significance of the study,discussed the status of foreign researchers to explore the system's structure, as well as described the features and functionality of the system configuration. Then it analyzed the causes and consequences of a short circuit, given a brief introduction of purpose and meaning of the three-phase short-circuit current, introduced a three-phase short-circuit current calculation method. Three-phase short-circuit current calculation is the basis for power system fault diagnosis. On the basis of the above-mentioned work, the article completed a 35KV substation integrated automation system, the overall design, system software design, database design, human-computer interface design. System has been carried out on-line operation test, and achieved good results.
