The force of the reducer is very complicated in the practical work.The internal gear and shaft of the reducer will take a bigger impact when the entire car is accelerating or decelarating.And this impact will directly deliver to the box. If the box lacks of stiffness, it will deform, accelerate the attrition of the components, generate noise and affect the entire car's comfortability, power, safety and life. Therefore, the box itself should have plenty of stiffness and strength. This paper takes the golf cart's reducer box of Gan Zhou Five Rings Machine Corporation as the stufy object and makes a stufy of the box's dynamic characteristics by applying the method of combining computational modal analysis and experimental modal analysis aiming at the rupture problem of the box when being used.Build the geometric model according to the box drawings and then conduct it to Hypermesh to do meshing and make the local mesh more refined. On this basis,we can use ALGOR to calculate the modal of the box and get the top 10 natural frequency and formation . Errors of the order within 5%. So we can also get the calculating result of FEM is correct and available by comparison of the experimental results of the modal.Gear Box is fixed to the frame in Practical work.So,constraints on the case for modal analysis, obtained under box constraints mode changed, by the overall deformation into a local deformation. Based on the modal analysis for gear box, a small injury by driven incentive on the normal course of operation,but,a big injury for gear box on the non-normal course of operation. This paper provides a good platform for the company to design the box in the future.
