Automobile clutch cover assembly detecting machine is a special-purpose equipment in automobile clutch industry, there isn't mature approved product for the industry. It is not a general-purpose equipment, and the price of imported equipment is extremely expensive. But in order to ensure the quality of the clutch to avoid safe accident, the detecting equipment is necessary. Therefore, the research and development of high-performance, high-precision clutch cover detecting machine is the current market need and it has a high value in project application.The development of the detecting machine at domestic and abroad is described firstly with explanation of each characteristic. According to the technical requirements, various options and feasibility analysis are put forward to determine the form of the main structure. So the assembly drawings can be completed. And the paper provides the analysis of the possibility factors, which affect the machine testing accuracy. Component and part's deformation are taken into account as priority. And besides, the relations between deformation and load are analyzed. ANSYS software is used to simulate and raise some optimization program or model, which will be re-analyzed in order to achieve the desired results. When the structural deformations are reduced, structure simplification and cost reduction are taken into account. With this comprehensive analysis, the guiding principles of structural improvement and optimization are given. This can achieve improving checked accuracy of the machine ultimately.According to the conclusion of this research, a testing machine was designed and manufactured. The machine satisfied the manufacturer requirements, and worked stably with high testing precision. This research achieves the expected results successfully.
