First, the basic form and properties of the mulberry fiber and cotton were tested and analysed, according to the characteristics of mulberry fiber, the spinning process of the mulberry and cotton blended yarn was studied according to the characteristics of mulberry fiber, and the optimal allocation of every process parameter was acquired. The blended yarn with 10%,20%,30%,40% and 50% mulberry fiber were span and the fineness was 19.4 tex.Second, the properties of mulberry fiber and cotton fiber blended yarn were texted and analyzed. The variations of the breaking tenacity and the breaking elongation of the blended yarn with the increase of mulberry fiber were acquired. But the evenness and hairiness was worse. The blended yarn was hard, and the defects of the blended yarn can be easily observed.Third, the BP neural network model of the tensile properties was built. The tensile property of the mulberry fiber and cotton blended yarn was forecast analysed through this model. The results showed that the interrelated value of the breaking tenacity forecast value and tested value was 0.973, which reflected that there was a high correlation between the forecast value and the real values. This model can be used to forecast the breaking strength of cotton blended yarn.Fourth, the physical mechanical properties of the six blended knitted fabric were tested and analysed. The results showed that the breaking strength and the burst strength had no regular pattern compared with the cotton knitted fabric; the draping property was better and was best at the blended ratio of 20%; the creasy recovery and the bending rigidity were little difference compared with the cotton knitted fabric, but the abrasion resistance was enhanced.Finaly, the mechanical properties of the mulberry fiber and cotton blended fabric were synthetical evaluated through the grey near optimal method. The results reflected that, as the underwear fabric, the mechanical properties of the blended fabric were little difference at the blended ratio of 10%,20% and 30%, and all of them were bettle than cotton fabric, and were best at the blended ratio of 10%.
