Shengma fiber is regenerated cellulose fiber made form jute and ambary and researched from similar production techniques with rayon. There is no mistakes, such as sensitivity to skin, itching and easy to wrinkle. At the same time, it has good absorbing humidity and anti-microbial qualities. So it is the ecological textile fiber of new style, heathy, fashion and green environmental protection. It has very important significance to reseach and devolop qualities of Shengma fiber and its production.In this paper, we analyse the spinning performance of Shengma/cotton blended yarn and pure yarn and reach a conclusion that its strength is in accordance with simple model of blended yarn and with the change of Shengma fiber content, the strength of Shengma/cotton blended yarn is lowest when the blended ratio of Shengma fiber is 70%. The critical twist factor of pure Shengma yarn is 354.With the increase of the blended ratio of Shengma fiber, the uneveness of the Shengma/cotton blended yarn decreases.Details of wearing properties such as strength, drapability, quick moisture absorption, air permeability and moisture permeability are tested in this paper. We make the objective evaluation and analysis for the characters by using gray optimal judgment.Furthermore, the Shengma fabrics are processed with the alkili and heating process.The results show that the strength,drapability and warmth decrease by the alkili process and the strength decreases with the heating process.The dry hot air process has no remarkable effect to properties of the Shengma fabrics. In addition, this paper analyzes the anti-mites properties of Shengma fabric in detail. It indicates that Shengma fabric can resist some kinds of mites, and washing will affect the anti-mites properties of Shengma fabric. This property will be weakened with the number of washing.
