| With China's growing population and fast development of economy, the intensity and scale of economic activities are constantly enhanced. Many areas pursui the rapid development of economy blindly, using and expoiting the natural resources by coarse grained and even predatory mode. They have ignored the protection of ecological system and have caused serious damage to the ecological environment. Though the rising of RS and GIS, they have been widely used in environment and ecological fields. At the same time, RS and GIS have been steadily becoming an indispensable tool in ecological zones. Remote sensing technology own many macro comprehensive features e.g. multi-platform,multichannel and multi phase .It can conveniently complete the survey on ecological environment in large and mesoscale. It can also contraste the different stage of ecological environment information. Geographic Information System is a very effective computer tool. It plays an important part in collecting, memorizing, distilling, transforming, displaying and analysing those large capability of spatial data.The study is for case of Wuxiang Shanxi province, on the basis of analysing its geographical survey, natural resources and social-economic condition; according to the theories and methods of ecological zones as well as the long-term task of Wuxiang government; it carves up the county to different small ecological zones. Dealing with the imagy and analysing fundamental data by the soft of Erdas and ArcGIS, adopting the compositive path as follows: geometric rectification of imagery by Erdas, digital special map by ArcGIS, establishing space database, working out the procedure of special analysis model and combined with statistical analysis system. At last, according to the basic principles of ecological zones, it has been made a scientific and compositive assessment in eco-environment effects of construction projects and area development found on the evaluation of eco-environmental's sensitivity, the important evaluation of ecological service functions and the results of ecological zones.There are five conclusions through working over ecological zones. It is as follows:(1) The study integrates many model and methods of remote sensing technique and geographic information, based on ArcGIS soft, ecological zone's aims, contents, and principles, as well as ecological zones hierarchical structure, achieves ecological zone systems of Wuxiang through top to bottom bracketing methods.(2) After evaluating Wuxiang's eco-environment survey and actuality, the results is manifestation in three aspects. First, Wuxiang owns abundant land and water resources, but it is not made the good use of them. Second, environmental pollution aggravates the pressure of ecological city. Third, there are different sorts of wild animals and plants, but low vegetation coverage. The eco-environment has been seriously depleted.(3) Wuxiang is fallen into five grade areas by the assessment of eco-environment sensitivity. They are overwhelming sensitive, highly sensitive, medium sensitive, slight sensitive and commonly sensitive respectively. At the same time, it points out the distribution of five areas.(4) The study has carried out compositive evaluation of ecological service's essentiality from four aspects which are biodiversity, water conservation, water and soil conservation and maitenance of nutritive material. It carves up four different brackets according to its essentiality. Then it puts its finger on the accurate range of that four extents.(5) In the end, Wuxiang is marked off two ecological zones of first-class and ten ecological zones of sub-class in line with the result of eco-environment sensitivity evaluation and ecosystem service function's importance in different areas. Moreover, the paper has carried through development and utilization of resources in allusion to courtyard traits as well as orgnization and management on existential problems.There are two creative points in this study. First, its study subject is the county and it selects more microcosmic factor and assessment indicators by learning the theory and investigation of province and country areas. At one time, the results of divisions are more easily to carry out. Second, every factor has successfully achieved the spacial overlay analysisi based on the soft of RS and GIS. After the comprehensive assessment, it draws more accurate outcome compared with the large-scale study. Besides, the layouts are more normative and slinky by the bracing of ArcGIS soft.Therefore, to sum up, this paper has broached the major tasks and practical measure of ecological conservation and construction based on eco-environment characteristic of each areas, the central problem of eco-environment and dominant ecological functions. In the meantime, it has offered scientific foundation for the implement of Wuxiang's constrction programme, establishment of area eco-environment protection, rational use of resources and reasonable arrangement of industrial and agricultural production. In addition, the study provides information and measures for branch of government, it has positive and practical significance of programming and construction in Wuxiang. |
