Because of the disadvantage of traditional sinter-ash mechanical transport, and there was seldom application of pneumatic transport, this paper researched the later mode in the aspects of experimental analysis, detail design, equipment selecting, installation and test. And the pneumatic transport system was put into use successfully in the 198m2 sinter-plant of Brazil GA Company.According to material properties, Dense-phase pneumatic transport was selected as better mode. Firstly, found out the pneumatic transport characteristics, and validate the feasibility of the system by testing representational materials on test-bed. Some running rules were found out:1) The pneumatic transport of sinter-ash is feasible and reliable, also it can be transported in different air current and capaticies.2) Material velocity limit measure from tank to pipe should be taken during the pneumatic transport.3) Using the tube of the large curvature radius.4) Unload the pressure of front pipe during the pipe jam, then take the end clear device. Then choose proper equipment by the related calculation. Finally, installed and debugged the system to best operating state. The pneumatic transport operated in practical project proved:1) Successful application in sinter-ash transport set an example and would guide the following projects.2) Compared with the traditional mechanical transport by using technical-economic analysis, it is an advanced technology, and will bring remarkable social and environmental benefits. This pneumatic transport system has broad application field in melting and steel industry.3) The design and analysis of pneumatic transport system should decide test program according to actual...
