Aiming at the development of I-beam in Xuan Steel, theoretical research about profiled steel continuous rolling has been carried out in this essay. Uniform extension of I-beam's waist and leg position is the key technology in I-beam steel continuous rolling process. To solve this problem, new division methods of I-beam's waist and leg have been proposed. Based on pass design theory and optimized method,combining with the manufacture practice, VB language programmed realized the optimized design process of I-beam's waist and leg with mix mum stretch coefficient difference between them. The unique extension of I-beam's waist and leg can reduce remains stress in them which can also ensure continuous rolling normally, provide new method for I-beam's tandem rolling. Uniform extension can not only help realize the I-beam's tandem rolling, but also reduce the energy expenditure and improve the production quality as well as reduce the abrasion of roller which can reduce the cost so as to gain more benefit.In the productive process of I-beam steel, because of the three dimension asymmetry deformation that shows on work piece in the process of deformation in pass, the regulation can not be easily acquired. Velocity difference in different position spot in the deformation area and changes of temperature bring much difficulty in theoretical calculation of rolling torch. Math model with rolling torch parameters getting from experiment can calculates the rolling torch precisely which can provide calculation model of pass design and rules of rolling deformation.Passes in I-beam rolling own almost the same structure but different dimension which make the parameter design more proper. Visual Basic 6.0 language programmed has been used in soft ware"I-beam tandem rolling passes design and optimization". AutoCAD is transferred by VB to charge Para metered pass. Dimension label can be charged in picture which can be drawn by this optimized soft ware automatically and present the chart in a short time, edition and remedy are also the parts of this soft ware. Efficient combination of VB and AutoCAD carried out the optimized pass drawing software finally. The characters containing time saving, labor saving, less mistake, precise calculation, universal and better adaptability proved the optimized system of uniformity extension of I-beam's waist and leg in ordinary I-beam tandem rolling.
