Hierarchical Management Of The Bar Roll Management Information System Design

Roller is one kind of the key produce spare parts in Iron & Steel Company; roller management ability affects the product cost, product quality and produce plan. Roller management can be classified to company management level and onsite operation management level. According to the characters of the two management levels, it is feasible to build the roller management system with classified management and shared information. Using this system, the manager can trace the roller status dynamically; control the roller purchase capital, roller stock capital and roller wear, the fine and precise roller cost management is made. At the same time, the operator on site can be guided by the system to reach the operation process standardization, which is helpful to reduce inaccurate operation and make the roller grinding shop run efficiently. Through integrating the inner and outer system information, building roller evaluate system, the company can overall evaluate the roller from the different manufactory, consequently guide the roller using on site economically and reasonably and find the basic judgment elements of the roller purchase. Finally, with this system the roller management can be standardized and integrated; overall management through the whole roller lifecycle can be realized.Based on the analysis on present roller management system in Baosteel, according to the characters of the classified roller management, the system functions of three levels including roller grinding shop management system, ERP management system and Data Warehouse are discussed. Roller overall evaluation sub system in Data Warehouse and roller paired sub system in roller grinding shop manager system are analyzed mainly. The integration plan for inner and outer system is described too. Finally, the development trend of the management system is presented.
