High speed milling is an advanced and practical manufacture technology, which has been widely applied in many fields,such as astronautics,automobile and mould. It has advantages of high efficiency,high machining quality,and high machining precision.The technology of cutting performance evaluation is an important aspect of the study on high speed milling technology,and it is also a premise or basic for designing and using high speed milling cutter. A scientific and practical method which is applied to evaluating cutting performance of high speed milling cutter will be very important to high speed milling cutter's design technology and its application.This thesis carries on the study on the evaluation technology of high speed milling cutter's cutting performance based on the the theory of high speed milli- ng and the achievement of high speed milling cutter technology.The main study contents are:Aiming at the trait of the coated cemented carbide high speed face milling cutter and high speed end milling cutter which are used in machining al-alloy and cast-iron,the thesis institutes cutting performance evaluation factors of high speed milling cutter; According to the theory of high speed milling,the thesis has studied on cutting force and surface roughness . Based on the analysis of cutter machining error, model of surface roughness for high speed milling has been established; According to ISO15641 criterion of high revolving milling cutter,the research on safety and dynamic equilibrium technology of high speed milling cutter has been carried on; From the aspect on increasing metal-removal rate,a study on machining efficiency of high speed milling cutter has been carried on; After that,the thesis dose a research on the influence disciplinarian of structure parameter and cutting conditions to cutting performance evaluation factors . Cutting performance evaluation model of high speed milling cutter has been established by the means of fuzzy object element analysis. The thesis has studied the optimization criterion of evaluation factors'degree of memberships and acquired the method of evaluation factors'right weight . Aiming at different design projects of high speed face milling cutter and end milling cutter which are applied to machining alloy and cast iron,their cutting performance has been appraised by the model , then, the optimization design projects has been achieved.With orthogonal experiment design method,the cutting experiment of high speed face milling cutter and end milling cutter has been carried through,the experiment does a research on cutting force and surface roughness of high speed milling alloy and cast iron,By the result of experiment,the performance of different design project's high speed cutters has been contrast,the experiment proved that the evaluation model which has been established by fuzzy object element analysis is available.With this model, multi-factors'evaluation of high speed milling cutter can be solved. It also can provide scientific evidences to optimizing cutter structure design. Maching practice proved that this model is very practical and useful.
