| High speed cutting technology is widely used in the world because it has lots ofoutstanding advantages of high efficiency, low energy consumption and high quality. Atthe present, the superiority of high speed milling can not make full use as it is no relativelycomplete parameters of database to choose from. It has the role of guiding in the practicalproduction process to study comprehensively the effect relations of machined parametersand cutting force in ball-end milling and establish a analytical prediction of milling forceby a multifactor testing. rocess of metal cutting is simulated. The simulation haveconsistency with the experiment.(1) According to the latest development and research of ball-end cutter simulation, aparametric3D model of the ball-end cutter is established by Pro/ENGINEER system. Baseon Deform-3D software, three-dimensional process of metal cutting is simulated. Thesimulation have consistency with the experiment.(2) Comparison of high speed miling force measured value and theoretical modelpredictive value, the high speed milling force predictive model with small amount of testand high precision is established by response surface methodology. Results showed thatthe established model is highly significant. The influence degree between millingparameters and high speed milling force is obtained by range analysis.(3) The influence of milling speed, feed per tooth, axial depth of cut, radial depth ofcut and interaction on milling forces is analyzed.(4) Through the test of the cutting tool angle, the relationship between toolorientation and milling force is revealed and the best tool orientation is obtained on theprocessing of planar milling. |
