Transition metal complexes based on benimidazoles can be used as simulacrum of biology molecular, even more catalytic activity was found in some of them.Acetic anhydride was a very important chemical raw material, which was widely used in many fields of the national economy. There were more preparation methods for acetic anhydride, however, using coal into an important chemical materials was the state's key research project. Catalysts reactions used methanol foracetic anhydride have not been replicated on a large scale in the country, because catalysis research of China's industrial started late and dropped behind the standard of international technology carbonylation. Some of the precious metals such as rhodium catalyst were used as carbonylation catalyst, which was expensive and more technology was monopolised by foreign country.There are more resources of coal and natural gas in Shaanxi province. Develop coal chemical route for synthesis methanol. Translate methanol and carbon monoxide for acetic anhydride and acetic acid was important for chemical energy industrial of northern Shaanxi. At the same time there was a major economic significance for development the market of acetic anhydride and acetic acid, enhancing the country's level of acetic anhydride's industrial, the most important technology was carbonylation catalyst for carbonylation catalysts reactions. Based on the problem of various types of catalyst and according to the features of carbonylation catalysts reactions, our team has been designed a series of new metal complexes of benimidazoles, which can be used for carbonylation catalyst of industry.Seven new benzimidazole derivatives were prepared by the o-phenylenediamine,oxalic acid,glycolic acid,monomethyl monopotassium malonate,ethyl cyanoacetate,succinic anhydride. The structures of them were confirmed by IR,Elemental analsis. The crystal structures of d and e were determined by X-ray single crystal diffraction of Germanic Bruker Smart APEX II CCD.
