At present because of the chrome-iron price unceasing climbing, thecorresponding enterprise desiderate a kind of lower price and higherperformance of the abrasion-resistant cast iron of Cr to enhance theenterprise competitive power in the market. In order to satisfy theenterprise demand and make up the shortage of present research on theabrasion-resistant cast iron of Cr with swing in with the noble metal ofMo,Ni,V,Ti and so on. So we develop this research.This article basing on the function of various elements in thechromium-cast-iron and the contain quantity of carbide, and using Mn tosubstitute that noble metal, design three new kinds of abrasion-resistantcast iron of Cr and Mn. By contrasting the material macrohardness,microhardness and striking toughness to analyses the effect on theperformance of the abrasion-resistant cast iron of Cr and Mn withdifferent chromium content. To improve its structure and performance byalterative treatment, and analyses its change, consequently to discuss andconclude the effect of alterative using in the abrasion-resistant cast iron ofCr and Mn.The results indicate that the rigidity of the new low- chromium kindof abrasion-resistant cast iron of Cr and Mn has 57HRC, and the strikingtoughness has 1.08J/cm~2, and the rigidity of the new center- chromiumkind of abrasion-resistant cast iron of Cr and Mn has 58HRC, and thestriking toughness has 1.67J/cm~2, and the rigidity of the newhigh-chromium kind of abrasion-resistant cast iron of Cr and Mn has60.1HRC, and the striking toughness has 1.86J/cm~2. The three matrialshas the advantage of the low-cost and the high-performance, and aresuitable for wear-resisting casting which manufactures under the lowstress condition to use.The experiment of metallographic structure indicate the RE and K,Na-salt has the obvious altertive effect on the abrasion-resistant cast ironof Cr and Mn. The 0.2%RE enhance the center-chroium hardness andtoughness; the 0.6%K2,Na-salt make the eutectic carbide of theabrasion-resistant cast iron of Cr and Mn to be granulated. The alteratives accelerate the austenitic growth, and block the eutectic carbide growth,and thin the eutectic carbide, and make the eutectic structureuniformization.
