Fourth Plenary Session of the 16^th CPC National Congress clearly pointed out that building a harmonious society should be taken as an important task. The concept of harmonious society does not only include harmonious relations between people, but also puts emphasis on the harmonious development of human and nature. With worries about the ecological moral state of the contemporary college student, the writer believes enhancing ecological ethics education in colleges does not only have practical significance to the realization of a harmonious society, but also plays a necessary role in fostering sound personality of university students.Through analyzing the content, feature and rule of ecological ethics education, this text traces the development process of our country's ecological ethics education, looks for deficiencies in target, contents and methods of the existing ecological ethics education. Ideological political theory course has a solid foundation of theoretical research and education, with profound philosophy, ethics, politics, sociology, and consistent setting of courses. So the writer believes that it is the best carriers of ecological ethics education in college. It is put forward that these unveiled problems can be solved by enhancing the goal, enriching contents, diversifying teaching methods, and perfecting educational evaluation system. Meanwhile, it is also presented that we should constructed joined systems of college ecological ethics education which are mutually compatible and profound.
