In this paper, the thermosetting composites of Bismaleimide/diallylbisphenol A (BMI/BA) reinforced by carbon nanotube (CNTs) were prepared by casting methods.Firstly, XRD, TEM and FT-IR were used to characterize the structure of CNTs treated by dense HC1, dense HNO3, HNO3, H2SO4-HNO3, K2Cr2O7-H2SO4 and bromic acid. The results showed that purification treatment had no change on the structure of CNTs. But on the top of CNTs have function group such as -OH and -COOH after H2SO4-HNO3 and K2Cr2O7-H2SO4 were treated.Secondly, we study on the influence of CNTs treated or not on the co-curing reaction characteristics of BMI/BA by gelation time, FT-IR, DSC. We found that the gelation time of BMI/BA system was enhanced and reactivity was reduced with the amount of CNTs increased. Therefore, purification of CNTs can advance reaction properties of CNTs/BMI/BA. 4#CNTs that was treat by H2SO4-HNO3 was the best treated CNTs specimen. 4#CNTs/BMI/BA system have same solidify technics with BMI/BA.Thirdly, CNTs could obviously improve the mechanical, thermal and wetness properties of CNTs/BMI/BA in virtue of DMA, TGA and SEM. Besides, the increase of impact strength, vitrification temperature and hydrogenation temperature of composites material with the CNTs content. The more CNTs content, the worse of dispersion properties, then impact strength, thermal and wetness properties of CNTs/BMI/BA were delined. Disperse of 4#CNTs in BMI/BA was improved. At the same time, mechanical and thermal properties are higher than CNTs/BMI/BA and BMI/BA after treated by H2SO4-HNO3Finally, aiming at extent limited on increase of flexible strength and ILSS high modulus carbon fiber reinforced BMI/BA resin composites material. We firstly adopted CNTs and CF mixed together to reinforce BMI/BA in this article.
