Weather Resistant Uv Coatings

In this paper, a high functional active oligomer containing urea bond was investigated. And based on this work, many research was related to the influence of adding amount and type of light initiator on film weather resistance, the interaction of ultraviolet light absorbing agent and free radical catching agent with light initiator during the curing process of UV coatings. However, the main reason of yellow change of UV curing coating in the early stage was discussed, and the active oligomer have influence on UV coatings early stage yellow change and long time weather resistance. Therefore, formulation system of UV curing coatings can form protective hard film on polycarbonate substrate.The conclusion was shown that the main methods improved the UV coatings weather resistance are to decrease the active points, such as the residue free radical and double-bond etc, and some key technical problems were resolved. The UV curing coatings could be used to the outdoor field, such as automobile, the hardening treatment of the surface on the lens of automobile front lump.
