The explosive was the pivotal material for national defence industry, thus, its nanometer technology was one of the effective methods to satisfy modern weapon's demands. According to the combination of experiments and theories and based on the recrystallization method for preparing tiny explosives, "fast dilution method" was studied to prepare nanometer RDX.According to IR spectrum test and token, it can be illuminated that the laboratory has prepared nanometer RDX powders the diameters of which were 120nm,80nm,60nm and 50nm respectively. The nanometer RDX powders were detected. Its blast properties were compared with industrial RDX. And some important conclusions have been drawn: impact sensitiveness of nanometer RDX drops greatly, the friction sensitiveness raises by a large margin, and activation energy of thermal decomposition of nanometer RDX is more than industrial RDX. Furthermore, the static sensitiveness, blast characteristic and dispersion in the macromolecule additive agent were also primarily researched.
