Raw carbon nanotubes (CNTs) were synthesized using chemical vapor depodition, these carbon nanotubes have some impurities, such as amorphous carbon, carbon nanoparticle, therefore, must be purified. The raw CNTs were purified by bromine inserted in interlayer oxidized method and synthetical oxide method. The influences of reaction conditions were investigated though the orthogonal experiments. Obtained the optimum experimental condition from the analyze results of purification rate, BET and TEM, and found that the CNTs purified on the optimum condition have high purity.Nano-NiO/CNTs, Co2O3/CNTs, Nd2O3/CNTs and Sm2O3/CNTs composite particles were prepared by chemistry deposition method. The nanoparticle size, phase, and other characteristics were measured by TEM, SEM, XRD, BET and TG. The influences of reaction conditions were investigated though the orthogonal experiments. The particles preparated on the best conditions were well composited. The nano-metal oxide/CNTs/AP particles had been prepared by the method of solvent evaporation, and DSC was used to characterize their catalytic performance. Results indicated that the prepared composite particles had excellent catalytic performance. With particles composited the interface of the two kinds of particles is increased, the dispersivity and homogenization of the particles are raised therefore, and the catalyst effect is improved, the decomposition temperature of AP is decreased. In these composite particles, the nano-Sm2O3/CNTs caused the high decomposition temperature of AP decressed more than 136℃;Then the imitate propellants were prepared, and its thermal decomposition were characterized by DSC, forecasted the catalytic performance of composite particles in propellants.
