The study of Rock drillability and blastibility is a basic topic in the fields of drilling and blasting, it has important practical meaning also. Rock drillability is the main foundation of choosing drilling tools, predicting drilling velocity, administering production. Rock blastibility is the basis of determining blast-hole mesh parameters, working out b technical-economical index of blastilibity.The study of this paper is very necessary, because the scale of No.92 ore-body in Dachang Bureau is huge, and the mining has just stared. It has been indicated that the consumption of drilling bits was very serious in the process of mining. Therefore, drilling bit choice should be carried out again, in order to improve drilling efficiency, and to decline mining cost.The method of specific chiseling work was used to study rock drillability. The pure drilling velocity and bit consumption was tested in the work face. The study on rock blastibility was conducted with the method of blastibility index. The state of explosive consumption and blast-hole utilization ratio was tested in the work face also. The interrelationship of multiple parameters was researched on the basis of parameter testing. Choice of carbide detachable bit for rock drilling was engaged according to the new national standard (GB/T6480-2002) after fully analyzing the performance indicators.The results show that the drillability of 75 percent rock in No.92 ore-body is above five grade (the total is seven grade), it is related with the position in ore-body; the blastability belongs to easy-blasting through medium easy-blasting, the relationship with the position in ore-body isn't obvious; the main reason of bits consuming at a fast step is that the ability of bit resisting impaction isn't sufficient.The main creative point of this paper is as follows. When evaluating rock solidity and blastibility with wave impedance value, the value is usually divided into five levels, however it is divided into seven levels here in order to set up relationship with the method of specific chiseling work, and to give a general consideration of the two methods. As a result, the evaluating system is more perfect. The results of rock classification with the two methods are near. Furthermore, the author suggests that rock solidity in No.92 ore-body should be evaluated universally with the values of specific chiseling work and wave impedance.
