The sweetness of the sucralose is higher than the sucrose , but their taste is same .And it doesn' t not decomposed , has no side effect and is not absorbed in human body , it is a good sweetness agent to the patients with diabetes and adiposis instead of the sucrose. Sucralose is synthesized through the chemical method, mono-ester method or enzymatic method, most of the sucralose ' s manufacturers adopt the chemical method .This invention relates to a improved process for the preparation of 4, 1', 6' -trichloro-4,1' ,6' -trideoxygalactosucrose by the chemical method.In this research , sucralose comes from sucrose .which react with trityl chloride, in the mixture of N, N-Dimethylformamide and N-methylmorpholine, then react with acetic anhydride for the protection of the eight hydroxyl groups of sucrose. Then the production detritylate under hydrogen chloride, get 4-PAS and reclaim the byproduct of the reaction — trityl chloride. Followed, 4-PAS is dissolved in methyl isobutyl ketone and acetic acid is added, acetyl migrate and get 6-PAS. l', 6', 4-positions of 6-PAS is chlorinated with triphenylphosphine oxide and thionyl chloride, in a solution of toluene, the byproduct, triphenylphosphine oxide, is reclaimed. Last, sucralose is getted through de-acetylation in the mixture of methanol and Sodium methoxide. The all steps are reated with yield 21. 77%. We discuss the influence of the reaction conditions on it such as proportion of reactant, the time of reaction, the temperature and the velocity of hydrogen chloride and so on. This method is simple, the dear material is easy to reclaim and the cost is cheap. So this technique suits to industry.
