The Warp Knitting Computer-aided Design System

At the present time, the level of Computer- aided design system is low .And the system is appropriate for single type of machine. This paper develops a Computer Aided Design system for warp-knitted fabric which can design warp-knitted fabric exactly and efficiently. This system comprises pattern design system and technological calculation system.This paper focuses on the principle and technique of CAD system for warp-knitted fabric and includes four parts. The first part introduces the way to establish data base management system. The second part designs the warp-knitted fabric in computer. And this paper places emphasis on this part. Firstly, this part explains the interface designing and the operation on using the software. Then it analyses the principle of formation and the specialty of structure for warp-knitted fabric and constructs mathematical model of lapping diagram, chain notation, pattern grid, drawing-in circulation and fashion drawing of warp-knitted fabric. In the end, it explains the way realize the model of mathematics technically through a lot of flow chart. The third part gives the mathematical descriptions for the calculation of warp run-in, gram mage per square meter and the output of fabric in warp knitting technology. The last part is accessory part and includes unit conversion, translation, relation between knitting gauge and yarn. And it gives the concrete proposals measures to solve the problems in cause of carrying out the CAD system. The emphasis of the software is the drawing of the chain notation and fashion drawing, technical parameters calculation and the database of warp knitting products. All in all, the system has the mighty function of pattern design and an accurate count .And it has good man-machine interface. It is easy and convenient to operate. The designer can raise the speed of the design, shorten the developing cycle of new product, and enhance the profit and the management standard of the factories.
